It takes years of study and training before an RAF pilot earns their coveted wings and can progress to operational flying.

In episode 15 we looked at helicopter training at RAF Shawbury. Today in episode 17, we visit RAF Valley and RAF Cranwell and reveal the pathway to becoming a multi-engine or jet fighter pilot.
